IRVINE, California – Irvine Police arrested 38 -year old Cyrus Ravan a local man, when they found him alseep 
in his car with the egine still running. However, the “icing on the cake” is what he had in the car – 2.4 gallons of GHB (commonly known as the date rape drug or liquid ecstasy), and more than 200 ecstasy tablets – enough for one heck of an illegal party. 
Police Lt. Henry Boggs – said upon further investigation, police searched Ravan’s home and seized another gallon of GHB and illegal steroids.

Mays’ cause of death was was initially considered open and shut - Heart diease. However, a recent autopsy indicated that cocaine may have contributed to the pitchman’s death. A toxicology test uncovered the drug in his system. Officials said, the amounts found in his system gives indication that he used just days before his heart attack.
The school of thought, is that the cocaine used only served to aggrevate his heart condition ultimately killing him. There is a great divide among popular opinion, many feel that since cocaine is washed out of the system within 24 -hours it could have not caused the heart attack., in order for this to have happened – he must have used cocaine that very day.

There are many argruements to be made as to whether or not Marijuana should be made Legal. As this debate roars on as to whether or not marijauna is a gate way drug, many states chosen to play on the more positive side of the field – allowing the use of marijuana for medical purposes only (a potenial gold mine for employers).
St. Pierre, Executive of NORML (The National Organization For The Reform of Marijuana Laws) feels that the more productive issue here deals with Employees, Insurance agencies, Hospitals, and Employers., let’s cut straight to the dollars and cents of the issue. As a tool for saving money and increasing a patients state of well being, medical marijuana should be part of the array of choices doctors, patients, and employers explore.
Advocates of Marijuana legalization champion it as an effective medicine with far ranging benefits such as treating Weight loss, Nausea, Pain, Spasticity, symptoms associated with cancer, AIDS, Cerebal Palsy, Muscular Dystrophy, and Arthritis. In addition it has proven to be a cost effective alternative to other pharmaceuticals.
St. Pierre says it’s the hope of advocates that reimbursing patients who use medical marijuana, could help eliminate their use of more costly and potentially addictive drugs. For employers, as payers of health care., if only considered a money saving tool – medical marijuana could very well be a solution.

July 31, 2009 – Brooklyn Federal Court sentenced two members of one of the largest Colombian heroin trafficking organizations.
The year long investigation Code name “Operation Eliminacion” was spear-headed by the New York Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Strike Force, DEA in Connecticut and New Jersey, and the Colombian National Police, ANTIN Heroin Task Force.
- “Kidney Beans Not Just For Eating – Anymore!”
The strategies employed during this covert mission utilized over 40 court ordered wiretaps in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Colombia. The spoils of this investigation yielded, numerous drug presses, Narcotic Trafficking Paraphernalia, and on several occasions sizable amounts of heroin with a total street value of approximately $24 Million.
The ”crème de la crème” revealed during this investigation, was the method these two men used to transport the drugs from colombia to the United states, through Panama & Guatemala – Kidney Beans. The Heroin was Concealed inside packages of Kidney Beans, which were then resealed intheir original Cellophane wrappers.

An ER Physician breaks his silence, and explains the subtle influences that forces the hand of many doctors to inappropriately prescribe powerful narcotics, like Morphine. Doctors have a ethical obligation to reduce or remove suffering, so when a patience who is in “Pain” or claims to be doctors find themselves at an impasse.
Since pain can’t be measured, it can be almost imppossible to figure out with absolute certainty whether the patients Opiate Needs are legitimate or simply just a ruse - intended to feed an addiction. This conundrum has caused many doctors to become scene as villians, victims of the under/over opiate prescription dilemma.

News is starting to slowly crawl through the internet, right now as only little bits that have been confirmed, of a charity walk that is to take place in Miami’s Bicentennial Park in September as part of National Recovery Month. Not yet “officially” released to the press, the charity walk is to be sponsored by the social networking site, In the Rooms (intherooms.com). As of the latest update, a committee is being formed by In the Rooms to head up the project event.
So far, what we know is that the walk will begin in Miami’s Bicentennial Park and take course over the MacArthur Causeway, which is the bridge that leads to Miami Beach. Then, the walk is to go back over the the MacArthur Causeway bridge to Bicentennial Park, where In the Rooms plans a day full of scheduled events that will include: food, music concerts and scheduled speakers.
