Approximately 10,000 marijuana plants with a potential street value of $40 Million was destroyed by narcotics agents early last week. Narcotics unit

According to the Monterey County Sheriff’s Office, last week  state and local authorities  located a large  Marijuana plantation containing thousands of plants. The marijuana was grown in plain sight – in the Partington Ridge area of Los Padres National Forest…

Upon it’s discovery it was quickly stamped out by officers of an elite narcotics task force and the California department of Justice. Dispite the clear edvidence – ‘the mountains of marijuana’, arrest have not been made and the investigation is still pending, in this one of the largest narcotics bust in monterey county history.

New Christian Drug & Alcohol Rehab Program Opens in California

A New Life treatment center, which is dedicated to Christian Alcohol and Drug Rehab, has recently opened in Southern California. The curriculum of the new Christian residential treatment program integrates scripture, Christ-centered therapy, and family reconciliation. Clients of the A New Life treatment center are transported to Saddleback Christian church for their addiction recovery counseling.

There, clients commune with others and take part in the program’s 8 Recovery Principals, designed by Pastor Rick Warren, with the goal of receiving fundamental life changes by working and employing Biblical principles to commence spiritual growth. This freedom produces peace, serenity, joy and most importantly a stronger personal relationship with God and with others. California NA: Narcotics Anonymous Events in California

With recent reports of budget crisis and talk of bankruptcy in California, as the US continues down the hard path of a recession, it’s good to know that the NA fellowship is offering free meetings for addicts trying to recover. Narcotics Anonymous has always made it a point not to continuously charge anyone seeking addiction recovery through Twelve Step programs.

Annual Recovery Events:
12th Annual California Mid-State Region Convention of Narcotics Anonymous – The event consists of an Annual Narcotics Anonymous (NA) conference with speakers. It is in conjunction with Nar-Anon members as well. 12th Annual. Stockton, California – June 11, 12, & 13, 2010.

24th Annual, Musicians’ Picnic –
Features top local, national and international acts on two separate stages.

19th Annual Set ‘em Free Campout – Narcotics Anonymous (NA) and Nar-Anon affiliated event. Location and activities vary. In years past, locations have included Saddle Mountain RV Park and Campground, and events have included White Water rafting.
