However, a recent autopsy indicated that cocaine may have contributed to the pitchman’s death. A toxicology test uncovered the drug in his system. Officials said, the amounts found in his system gives indication that he used just days before his heart attack.

The school of thought, is that the cocaine used only served to aggrevate his heart condition ultimately killing him. There is a great divide among popular opinion, many feel that since cocaine is washed out of the system within 24 -hours it could have not caused the heart attack., in order for this to have happened – he must have used cocaine that very day.

The year long investigation Code name “Operation Eliminacion” was spear-headed by the New York Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Strike Force, DEA in Connecticut and New Jersey, and the Colombian National Police, ANTIN Heroin Task Force.

The strategies employed during this covert mission utilized over 40 court ordered wiretaps in New York, Connecticut, New Jersey, and Colombia. The spoils of this investigation yielded, numerous drug presses, Narcotic Trafficking Paraphernalia, and on several occasions sizable amounts of heroin with a total street value of approximately $24 Million.

The ”crème de la crème” revealed during this investigation, was the method these two men used to transport the drugs from colombia to the United states, through Panama & Guatemala – Kidney Beans. The Heroin was Concealed inside packages of Kidney Beans, which were then resealed intheir original Cellophane wrappers.

Written By Kerron Wilson

No one ever told me that the climb to recovery is paved with steps – 12 steps total. Now, I’m a pretty fit guy psychically, however, back then I had a hard time emotionally – even while climbing that first step.

You see, I’m a “Type-A” alpha male personality and back then you couldn’t tell me a thing; if Albert Einstein himself came back from the grave and told me the earth circled around the sun, I’d say bullshit.

Now, with that level of ego getting in my way, how could I accept what step 1 proposed: “The I admit I am powerless over Narcotics – That my life had become unmanageable.” I laughed ha “me powerless” me “my life unmanageable” ha, what a bunch of gator balls.

With that attitude I paid little attention to the steps and I continued going about my life experiencing the same people, places and things ya know.” But then in a moment of clarity (My dealer wasn’t returning my calls, to get some dope on credit ya know what I’m talking about) I stumbled on the InTheRooms.com site and started reading one of the NA blogs.

What I read showed me just how powerless and unmanageable my life really had become. In the blog one of the members completely began spilling his guts about the things he did to get high like stealing from his elderly parents and pawning the jewelry (I could relate), like stealing money from his kids piggy banks/college fund (I don’t have kids but I remember stealing money from my nieces and nephews – so I could definitely relate) pretty soon I started to realize that, I was this guy and that my life had indeed been unmanageable and powerless for quite some time.

Because of that blog I decided to find a home meeting to start the 12 step process, I am proud to say my ego finally took a back seat – today I haven’t picked up the pipe in over 7 months… about the only thing I have picked up is my desire to blog on InTheRooms.com maybe I can help another “Know-it-All” get over himself.

Starting on Monday June 29, IntheRooms.com will be brining recovery time to Facebook with a newly launched app that will share users’ recovery times with friends along with ITR’s total recovery time that now stands at more than 100,000 years. The concept of the new ITR Facebook app was to bring IntheRooms into Facebook, personalize Facebook user’s profiles and encourage recovery at the same time by making it easy for friends struggling with addiction to join and get help.

For those unfamiliar with IntheRooms, it is one of the leaders of the online recovery community. IntheRooms currently has ten of thousands of members worldwide, from across all recovery fellowships (GA, NA, AA, OA, SA), who log-in daily to lend each other a helping hand in recovery and support one another with advice and mentoring. The concept behind IntheRooms is to provide a free social networking site where people can connect between meetings and maintain their recoveries.

The NA Blog would like to be the first to announce that IntheRooms.com goes live with National AA Meetings Database this week. For those unfamiliar with IntheRooms, it is one of the most revered recovery social networking websites on the net. Daily, IntheRooms.com helps its 40,000+ members connect with each other across the globe.

As for the National AA Meetings Database, what makes it unique is that it allows anyone to update it regularly, similar to Wikipedia. The idea is to have the most up to date National Database of AA Meetings on the web. As anyone who has looked for fellowship meeting on the net knows, they are constantly being changed, in terms of time, date and location that it makes it very difficult to have them all up to date.

Well, that’s no longer an issue. Now, anyone can go to the IntheRooms.com National AA Meetings Database and update the hours and locations to be absolutely accurate to the present moment. Please be sure to check out the database at:
