Been a few years struggling now to get more than 3 days of sobriety. I always seem to fall on the 3rd or 4th day of withdrawal. I was an extremely high functioning addict and now I have just gone too far. I have a daily cocaine habit of 1-3 grams. Its expensive, impossible to conceal at this point and Im worried I will over dose soon. I have a secret that compells me to use. Im trying to end both my secret life and my habit. They are intertwined. Been going to meetings, but I really really need a sponsor. Female and older than me. I am 35. Anyone looking for their next sponsee? I really need someone who has fallen to and lived in the gutter for awhile. Im also more inclined to esoteric/spiritual paths not religion. Note to NA Editor here. I see so many posts here from 4 months to a year ago and no one responded. Im worried if those people are ok. Does anyone monitor, read, respond on regular basis? That really concerns me. My Doctor doesn't up my dose often but I have mis-used and abused my meds. Right nos I seem to be doning okay, but I feel that i'm always walking on a knife blade and that at anytime "my addict" wil rear her ugly head and than I will start lying and manipulating to get more drugs. My partner keeps them locked in a safe and she is the one to whom I due the worst damage. I've been in pain for years and we've done this "dance" for years. I've wrecked so much havoc on our relationship that it is very shaky at this point. I've gon to meetings where I live and been struke down by the NA/AA nazis who don't understand that we get illnesses and injuries that cause us to have chronic pain. I've looked for treatment centers that deal with this issue that don't say you have to get off of your meds, if I was off my meds I couldn't function in treatment, but there are issues that we need assistance with.
